Everyday Physical Science Experiments with Liquids Library Binding – 1 Aug 2002. It's not exactly what I was looking for, but since I bought it without a description or a picture, I wasn't exactly surprised. It is a small booklet, 24 pages long, with color photos and drawings showing basic magnetism theory and experiments. It is probably aimed at 2nd grade or so. It's not what I was looking for, so I can't really judge it any more than that.

In engineering and the physical sciences, experiments are a primary component of the scientific method. They are used to test theories and hypotheses about how physical processes work under particular conditions (. whether a particular engineering process can produce a desired chemical compound). Typically, experiments in these fields focus on replication of identical procedures in hopes of producing identical results in each replication. Random assignment is uncommon.
