The copolymers are organized according to segmental architecture and chemical composition. Comprised of seven chapters, this book begins with an overview of what block copolymers are, how they are made, and what they can and cannot be expected to do.

Read unlimited books and audiobooks on the web, iPad, iPhone and Android. The next chapter defines block copolymers and compares them with other types of polymer "hybrids," that is, polymer blends, random copolymers, and graft copolymers.

The products are soluble, amorphous, and transparent, and display excellent thermal and hydrolytic stability. Elastomeric and rigid compositions can be prepared by varying oligomer molecular weight.

The copolymers are organized according to segmental architecture and chemical composition.

Block copolymers are a class of polymers in which different kinds of polymer chains are chemically bonded. Recently, block copolymers are applied to more advanced materials, such as nano-fabrication and quantum dots. There are A-B type diblock copolymers, A-B-A type triblock copolymers, A-B-C type triblock copolymers, and so on. Block copolymers have been used for polymer surfactant (see, for example, Section . 1), high-impact plastics, and other applications. Recently, block copolymers are applied to more advanced materials, such as nano-fabrication and quantum dots
