Mezilabar

This was free on kindle and I usually understand that 'you get what you pay for' but this was a fun read with no noticeable grammar or typographic errors. There was a dash of French (I did find an error, but that is just my nit-picky nature coming out) and a heavy dose of romance.
I really think it is sweet that Lucien sends his childhood playmate away once he understands that he can't control his sexual urges because she is only 16. I believe that age of consent in France is 16 so he would be within legal bounds to have consensual activities, but as he was 22 at the time, it would have been frowned upon.
Perhaps this is the moment I should remind myself that this is a romance novel and not a law text on the Napoleonic code. So in summary, this is a cute quick sexy read about a contemporary romance in a French setting.

Yellow Judge

As with many books under 250 pages long, I found the characters of this book to be very under developed. But not in an annoying and uncompleted way. I would have preferred a more complete exploration into each of the main characters' personality and psyche. The lack of this content made it very easy for me to put the book down for days at a time. I'm usually one to complete a book like this in 1 day or 2 at most.

However, this was not a bad read at all. If you are looking for a short and brief romantic story that you can complete in a day or two, this book is perfect for you.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that it felt like Gabrielle and Luc's story is not finished. I know there is another book, that I just purchased and will review later, but there is more to this one that remains untold.
I really liked the play between the characters but also felt like there could be more character development.
If a writer does not plan on writing an epilogue en please don't leave the reader wanting more.
I would still recommend you read it.

I enjoyed the book but as someone else said here, there was something missing I think. Being a big romantic, I was sad that the h had been separated from the H at 16 and that they meet again 7 years later. I don't think the author satisfactorily explained why the H never made contact with the h during all that time. We later discover that he kept in touch with the h's brother, so why not her? Anyway they get their hea and it's not a bad story.

I enjoyed this book, it was a light read altho the story wasn't very catching but a decent romance. The female character annoyed me some and I think the writer could have gone a bit deeper into the story.

Yeah Kelly, you make us bookworms just wanna read the story from start to end in an afternoon. Just keep them coming girlfriend.
