New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey presents one of his most intimate and emotionally resonant novels-a story about marriage, infidelity, and sweet and savage revenge. Their sex is routine. Their conversations are empty. Something’s got to give. It does, when she discovers her husband’s affair. The delicate fabric of their increasingly tenuous marriage is torn asunder-but neither is prepared for what happens next

New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey reveals how one chance meeting can change everything in this engrossing .

New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey reveals how one chance meeting can change everything in this engrossing, sexy prequel of star-crossed lust. They say the love of money is the root of all evil, but for Ken Swift, it's the love of a woman. Ken is twenty-one, hurting people for cash to try to pay his way through college, when he lays eyes on Jimi Lee, the woman who will change the course of his entire life. Passion, infidelity, and raw emotion combine in Eric Jerome Dickey's poignant, erotic portrait of a relationship: the rise, the fall, and the scars-and desire-that never fade.

Other readers will always be interested in your opinion of the books you've read. Whether you've loved the book or not, if you give your honest and detailed thoughts then people will find new books that are right for them.

The Other Woman by Eric Jerome Dickey. THE OTHER WOMAN is told from the point of view of Freckles, a television newswriter who is married to Charles, a middle school teacher. Their situation is, I think, fairly common: they both work, they're on somewhat different schedules, and they are all too often like ships passing (and occasionally and hurriedly bumping) in the night.

Eric Jerome Dickey strides boldly over the minefield that is modern marriage. The central couple's biggest challenge is timing: He works days; she works nights. Instead of growing together, they're rapidly drifting apart, coexisting on stolen phone calls from work, punctuated by occasional bedroom encounters that leave them both feeling even emptier and more alone. When she finds out about his affair-and starts her own-the delicate fabric of their marriage is torn irrevocably asunder. Or is it? In Dickey's expert hands, what begins as a seemingly unforgivable betrayal segues into the sexy and searing story of a man and a woman at a pivotal turning point in their relationship. Only time will tell whether they'll let it all go...or can hold on to the love that drew them together in the first place.

you secret
I've recently jumped onto the EJD bandwagon. I'm sure I must have read him in the past, but reading so many books over so many years I cannot remember for sure. However, I'm glad to be here. Eric Jerome Dickey is absolutely remarkable. He and Carl Weber have got to be the best AA writers today, with Eric at the very top. His writing is descriptive, eloquent, distinctive and just plain fascinating. His writing reflects the fact that he travels all over the world as he writes. I cannot imagine a writer being stationary and up with plots so varied and book after book unlike the previous, unless it's a continuing story which he doesn't give us much of. Sheer, raw talent at it's best,. This story of infidelity get me flying through the book in 3 days. Very, very good and so different from the norm. I will have read most of his books, consecutively more than less of them, by the time I'm finished. This book was wonderful, the writer is wonderful and I highly recommend reading his works.

Wow, oh wow, oh wow! This is my favorite effing book so far. I loved this story and it was hard for me to put the book down. Since I work at odd hours, the only time I can read this book was during lunch and even then it was difficult to put this work of art down. I just started reading this book probably 2 weeks ago and I just finished it today. All I can say is damn, what a good effing story!

My favorite character for some odd reason is David Lawrence. Now, I will not ruin the story about what is going on, but something about this character sticks with me. If I can try to convince people to read this book, it has an unexpecting twist involves in it. Actually, it has a few.

I don't know if this is helpful, but ef it. Just buy the book and judge for yourself. I'm confident enough to say that you will not be disappointed.

This book was wonderful I love when I'm ready a book and I cant put it down. I was completely FLOORED by this book. I am a fan of EJD, have read all of his work, and I think that this is quite possibly the best book that he has ever written.
I knew that the book focused on infidelity; obvious from the title. But I was completely unprepared for how events unfolded.
I was expecting fights, unhappiness, SOME level of drama prior to the infidelity; but there was none. What I was faced with was a seemingly happily married couple who seemed to be totally in sync--sexually, spiritually, financially.
I love Mercedes
This book blows you away with its raw emotion. So many twists and turns. I read this book so fast, I didn't even have time to think about what was going to happen next- which is good because the events unfolded unpredictably. I was left with my jaw open on several occasions.
Even though the book is entirely in first person the narrator -being nameless throughout- her emotions are crystal clear! Fortunately we are let in on other characters thoughts and feelings through, e-mails, and IMs, the narrators chance encounters, or private conversations and of course her to-the-point-questions!!!!!
This story is totally believable, it is apparent that people who are strangers can have an instant bond when thrown together in tragic times. Page 142 is shockingly erotic yet brief, very though provoking stuff- be careful if you happen to stumble upon this page in public.
EJD leads the reader to all the clues, but still I (like all the characters in the book) ignored them, and was stunned by the turn the book takes. It was hard for me to remember that the author is male- he was clearly able to zero-in on all of a woman's moods, emotions, tones and complexities. The end was slightly disappointing. I really wanted to see the answers to those questions.... An epilogue would have been nice.
Overall this is a great book, not a book to pick up from the library, this is a book to have on your bookshelf in the event you are in the same situation, and you need some help creating your own questions!!! I especially loved the way that EDJ makes references to his old characters- just a snippet or two to let the readers know that they are alive and thriving (Tammy from Cheaters, Kim from MIMC).
I'm a Russian Occupant
As a longtime fan of EJD, I have to admit without a doubt that this is his finest work to date. The female narrator makes you forget that this story was written by a man. Im not a woman, but I was feeling woman as I read. The realism of the situation is something that most of us can relate to in some form or another. He gives us all (men and women) something valid to think about when deciding to step out on our marriages. The storyline was not predictable as it could have easily been, and thats what makes this such a good book. I didnt want to put it down. When it was over I still wanted more. The dialogue was magnificent and all too real. Zane needs to take lessons from EJD when writing erotic scenes. EJD's are the best. I recommend this book for everyone who loves a good story.

I have read all of EJD's books. This is the best one yet.
In this book you are introduced to Freckles and she is married to Charles. Freckles has a very demanding career whereas Charles is a school teacher whose job is not quite as demanding. In Freckles mind everything in marriage seems to be ok until she meets Charles.
Charles informs Freckles that her husband is having an affair with his wife. After learing this information and then confirming it with Charles, Freckles loses the stability she thought she had in her marriage.
I found it amazing that even though Charles cheated he still tried to blame it on his wife.
This is one of the best books that I have read this year.
Buy it you won't be disappointed.

I am a new fan of EJD and I found this book to be absolutely mesmerizing. EJD brings the basic cheating storyline of finding out your husband has been having an affair for the last eight months right before our faces in black and white. You begin to feel for the unnamed narrator "Freckles." You begin to actually feel something for Charles her cheating husband. However, EJD cranks up the storyline and adds that sexy, funky Lenny Kravitz/Eric Benet kinda brotha to the mix and it's on! As in all of his other writings EJD has really put this all together to once again, keep us hanging onto his every written word!
