I grew up with this book. The author came to my elementary school. I was so glad to be able to find it.

This book has two very important qualities for a children's book. First, the illustrations are so colorful, detailed, and full of imagination that a child who cannot yet read will enjoy just sitting and looking at the book over and over. Also, the rhymes are so catchy and humorous that adults will not get tired of reading the book hundreds of times. Wonderful book!

Got this book in a pile from a friend shortly after my daughter was born. Not every poem/story is fantastic but the illustrations are nice and one story in particular (called prince strongheart and the dragon) is one both my daughter and I both LOVED. It has been in regular rotation for us for over a year and we're still not sick of it. Daughter is now almost 3.
