This mesmerising time lapse video shows the moment a snow ''squall'' engulfed the skyscrapers of Manhattan. New Yorkers were left shivering when the extreme burst of snow accompanied by strong, gusty winds swept through the city on Wednesday. In this time lapse video filmed from the observatory at the top of the One World Trade Centre - America's tallest building - the snowy clouds can be seen rolling in. I like a good ghost story. Unfortunately, Ghost Squall isn't one of those.

The writing is simplistic, the characters are one-dimensional--think "plucky heroine" and "lecherous neighbor"--and the plot is practically nonexistent. Here's the story in a nutshell: Lecherous professor (neighbor) moves his family to a small town after being accused of sexual harassment by one of his students; he buys a house from the plucky heroine, and begins another course of harassment against his female students at his new teaching post; eventually he tries to harass the plucky heroine, whose dead, reputedly crazy grandmother (the ghost in the title) appears and instructs her granddaughter to shoot the villain, which the plucky heroine does. End of story.

That's it. Really.

I did enjoy this novel but was disappointed that it really wasn't more of a ghost story. The Professor starts out as a paranoid sexual predator and becomes worse with each chapter. He's the scary creepy character -not dead grandma. I'm a Jersey boy myself and went to Wagner College so Ghost Squall was a trip in part down some memory lanes. It's a good light beach read...take it with you when you go to "the Jersey Shore". The funny thing was when I was in college I had a professor by the name of Crowley- but that Crowley seemed like a nice guy.

Not well written. Very simple!!! Probably on a 6th grade level.
