BREATHLESS IN BOLLYWOOD (Book 2) out now! "Nicola Marsh has a fabulous writing style, fun, fast-paced, and wicked sharp!" Samantha Robey at ChicklitPlus. Nicola Marsh has a fabulous writing style, fun, fast-paced, and wicked sharp! The plot was hilarious and a bit over-the-top, the characters were strong and memorable and I laughed my way through Shari's tale. Nicola Marsh captured my heart with her Harlequin Romance novels, and Busted in Bollywood from Entangled Publishing completely amazed me! The book is rich with culture and foods that made my mouth water. Shari was the kind of girl I'd want for my best friend.

BUSTED IN BOLLYWOOD was my first Nicola Marsh novel. but now that I've been exposed to her amazing combination of witty dialogue, hilarious situations, and super sexy romance, I guarantee you it won't be my last. Busted in Bollywood was everything I could hope for in a romance novel! It was cute, funny, and the characters were exceptionally charming.

Gotta love Mumbai mornings. I stretched and rolled out of bed, tangled in the mosquito net like every morning since I’d arrived. Like Anjali, the mosquitoes had a tendency toward feeding frenzies, too. Heading for the computer, I sat and typed as fast as my fingers could fly before I changed my mind. I decided on the latter. TO: FROM: SUBJECT: Mix up a batch Hey Rita, Guess.

Shari Jones needs to get a life. Preferably someone else’s.

Shari Jones has sworn off men. They can't be trusted so she agrees to help her best friend get out of an arranged marriage. Shari will go to Mumbai and kick this unwanted fiancée to the curb. What happens next is a wild ride filled with romance and snarky humor. Shari is entranced by what she finds in her travels. The traditions, the people and the food awaken her senses. Watching the filming of a Bollywood movie is enjoyable. However, the most amazing attraction is Drew. He is intelligent and very attractive. Their chemistry is powerful, but he thinks she's a scammer. What a mess! I loved the exotic location and the differences between these two cultures. It was interesting to see Shari change and grow as a woman. Love can do that to you. Drew is a keeper, but can she give up her life in New York. The road to happiness was filled with angst. I was hooked. Nicola Marsh wrote a seductive romance filled with interesting characters and snappy dialogue. I want more.

The beginning of this book felt impossibly contrived, but because the narrator was so snarky and because I really love chicklit, I kept going. The heroine's BFF convinces her to go in her place to meet her fiance in an arranged Indian marriage. If you have trouble swallowing that, I did too, but it was still funny, and I wanted to see how it played out. I was gratified when some of the obvious issues, like how easy it is to look people up on the internet, were not ignored and in fact ended up playing a part in the plot as it progressed. However, the plot also contained more contrivances as the book continued, and the narrator had rather questionable decision-making skills. I read chicklit to see the narrators wise up, so to speak, and that process was slow.

Things I really really liked, though, were the voice, the opportunity to read a book that wasn't set entirely in America or Great Britain, and all the twists and turns.

Nicola is a friend of mine via some writing groups and I'm embarrassed to say I just now read this. It was fantastic! Great characters, even the sub-characters. Witty, smart dialogue and some very funny situations.

I've read some of her other books but not this one. Why? I assumed the later ones would be even better. I was wrong! They're all good--definitely on my instant read list.
Risky Strong Dromedary
This book is everything the other reviewers had said it is. It is fast paced, colourful and full of beautiful snapshots of India and it's culture.

The characters are brilliant young things with beautiful clothing and sharp wit.

Shari, our main character, has made some mistakes that have left her a bit brittle around the edges when it comes to relationships. Ultimately this is not just a love story it's a story of getting over major setbacks and moving on.

It doesn't delve too deeply into these issues but you get enough of a sense of her becoming whole as a person, not just because of the man in her life.

I'm always a fan of books where the heroine's journey and her career are as important as the hunky hero so this ticks all the right boxes for me.

This book is a fast read, I finished it in an afternoon, and you really won't want to put it down.

Bustedin Bollywood was a very fun read. Nicola has a fabulous sense of humor and wit and it shines through in her writing. Other than a bit of offensive language, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. If you are a romantic at heart and enjoy a hood love story with some craziness thrown, you will really enjoy this book.

Nicola Marsh captured my heart with her Harlequin Romance novels, and Busted in Bollywood from Entangled Publishing completely amazed me! The book is rich with culture and foods that made my mouth water. Shari was the kind of girl I'd want for my best friend. I laughed, I sniffled, and I definitely snacked my way through the book. Good thing my hubby knows how to mix a delicious mojito!
Shari Jones is down on her luck and definitely open to any opportunity to get herself out of her current predicament, so when her best friend offers her a mini vacation to Mumbai, in exchange for a little dirty work, she jumps at the chance to travel. All she has to do is go to Mumbai, pose as her best friend, and find a way to ditch the fiance her friends parents have arranged for her to marry...seems easy enough, and a vacation right now sounds like heaven! Only "heaven" doesn't quite turn out like she thought...

This read was unlike anything I have read, I have to say it was quite refreshing to read something a little different for a change. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent reading Shari's story, her wacky little adventure made for some very entertaining reading, and provided me with quite a few laughs!! This is definitely once of my favorite reads from Ms. Marsh to date!! Highly recommend it, it is a fun and light-hearted read sure to brighten your day, and put a smile one your face!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
