If you like Western stories by Zane Grey and Louis Lamoure, you will like Elmer Kelton. This is about my tenth novel of his that I have read. I have truly enjoyed them all.
Hatе&love
Atypical for Elmer. This book is different from his others One gruesome episode after another. This, in my memory, having read everything Elmer has done, is the most _____(fill-in the blank_____ book that he has done. Blood on every page almost. Had he written this before "The Day It Never Rained," or "The Pub=mpkin Rollers" we might never have had so many good books by a man named Elmer Kelton.
