Series: With a Symposium to Follow. Kopit leans more to pop styles than I do, but he is a master of the craft of this kind of writing, so his play was very interesting to study. Reading a play is very different from seeing it, just as a video is much different from a play. There were two memorable scenes that I especially liked when I saw the play, including one near the end, intended to be the climax. One is still funny and the other still moving. The subject is no easier today than it was then.

I saw this as a play, and wanted to use one scene for a video. That scene, with two analysts discussing Mutual Assured Destruction, was changed in the published play. My own idea was inspired by the Iran nonproliferation talks.
