William Johnstone’s clumsy prose gives me the impression that he not only has never been to college, but that he hasn’t even seen a college in the past ten years.

William Johnstone has always been a SF, Western, and Thriller writer. This book is way out of that zone. Bottom line it that it is a heart breaking romance story. I have been a William Johnston fan for a lot of years. As far as I'm concern this is the best of the best from him

I picked up What the Heart Knows for a dollar, expecting light entertainment. It's not a long book, so I didn't expect the echoing suckerpunch. This book reached out, caught me by the heart and throat, and still hasn't let me go. This is one romance that MUST have really happened. Too crazy not to be real. Too painful. I cried my way through, lost sleep over it, and had trouble concentrating afterward. Make way, LaVyrle Spencer. You've finally got some competition, and he's a man!
