A daughter, and now a son, new war lords to abuse the human race, non-humans (sort of) to abuse and other 'events' to the humans, motorcycle trash, white trash, foreign invaders ... Can't we just all get along?

I've read many of these "out of the ashes" books and I've like 98% of them but this one I think I enjoyed as much as any....it just needed to soon

Book 7 of the series, and the hits keep coming. Love the characters and how they are developed. Johnstone gives his characters enough "memories" so that if you haven't read the previous book, you still know what is going on. I plan to read this whole series....all 34 books.

Typically a good book. I believe the many pages devoted to Emil and Brother Mathews, complete nonsense, did not contribute to this book whatsoever. These should could have been easily left out with more time devoted to the ending. The ending was somewhat obscure and would have certainly benefited from a few more pages
The man has no equal. He's committed to bringing his vision of order and democracy into reality. His way or the highway. The highway will most probably get you dead... or worse. I'm reading the whole series. Johnstone was a great writer.
