What’s really gonna be great is when the ozone layer is completely gone, and brain droppings b everyone has melanomas. People will use their skin cancers to form little designs. Since it’s Malibu, a lot of them will do their zodiac sign. Of course, if your sign is Cancer, you’ll be in real good shape. I believe skin cancer will eventually become part of every American’s fashion arsenal. That’s a lovely growth, i Bambi. Twenty millimeters and right between your eyes. God, I’m so jealous!.

Grammy® Award Winner! In Brain Droppings, Carlin brings to audio his singular brand of comedic satire that has made him a favorite of stage, screen and cable audiences. Witty word play, spirited commentary, sarcasm, monologues and in-your-face insights about everyday values appear randomly—literally droppings from his fast and fresh intelligence. Carlin's challenging humor cuts through the superficial and smug assumptions behind our institutions—politics, race and social issues—exposing all as amusing fabrications. And unlike other comics who believe we've somehow misplaced the American dream, Carlin presents it as a great—but incredibly funny—myth.Brain Droppings was adapted for audio by Carlin himself and comes with the inimitable Carlin timing and delivery—making it clever, laugh-out-loud humor. With its erudite appeal, Brain Droppings is perfect for listeners looking for a quick shot of brainy merriment as well as long-time Carlin fans seeking a bigger dose of his entertaining take on life.

Wacky, odd, compelling, interesting and never dull. George Carlin's Brain Droppings is even more vulgar in text. I love it. The book has a lot of lists, short snips of his opinions and observations. Quick and easy read. If you're not easily offended buy this, very entertaining. Wish we got a couple more years out of George, he is greatly missed.

"Sympathetic contempt" from the master of thoughtful comedy

Carlin: "I am a personal optimist but a skeptic about all else. What may sound like anger is really nothing more than sympathetic contempt. I view my species with a combination of wonder and pity, and I root for its destruction. And please don't confuse my point of view with cynicism; the real cynics are the ones who tell you everything's gonna be all right."

I highly recommend this hilarious book. It won't just make you laugh, however. It is also filled with thought-provoking ideas and observations.

Yeah, George was funny but it was his honesty and intelligence that made him special. No one was better at following up a fart joke with a stabbing insight about how twisted our perceptions of reality are. He skewered our empty icons. He revealed the evil within those who abuse their power at the public's expense. He also rightly condemned all of us for putting up with so much ignorance and insanity.

George Carlin was easily one of the greatest comedians of all time, the best in my opinion. Apart from Richard Pryor, I can't even think of anyone who comes close to his talent, relevance and longevity.

But Carlin wasn't really a comedian. He was more than that. He was a philosopher in the truest sense. He challenged us to think. He challenged us to see beyond the fog of cultural lies. And, despite his "I don't care" image, George Carlin challenged us to care.

I would say, "rest in peace, George." But he would think that is so trite, meaningless and lame, so I won't.

Human beings are kind of interesting from birth until they reach the age of a year and a half. Then they are boring until they reach fifty. I first received this book as a gift while I was teaching English in Europe and enjoyed it so much that I used it with my students. I donated the book to some of them, and have thought about it occasionally for several years. I decided to purchase it again as a permanent addition to my personal library. This book is a gem for any George Carlin or comedy fan. It is one of the only books that I can foresee reading multiple times. The claim on the cover is true- pick it up, turn to any page, and laugh. I find it to be very helpful in the evening when I need to lighten the mood during my evening meal and in the morning during breakfast when I want to begin the day with a smile. The book contains some classic bits and some bits that may never have been performed on stage.

The first time I learned about George Carlin must have been some 30 years ago; being Mexican, it adds up, since I don't know one single person among my friends and acquaintances in my country, who has seen, read and enjoyed this human being and comedian...
In all, the material one finds in "Brain Droppings" is the closest to being at one of his live presentations. R.R. Solorzano

If you love George, you'll love this book. I've read it over ten times since it first came out and I still laugh out loud. Not for the easily offended or those who cling to politically-correct language. A guaranteed mood lifter.

I gave this book to my daughter for Christmas. As a political fan following the antics of the establishment She loved it. You need this brilliant satirical author in your home. Lots of laughs.
