I was hoping for interesting stories about the lives of the saints, but this is just a compendium of names and dates with the briefest descriptions that do not bring the people to life.

This book is enormous! It actually has much more information than I really wanted to know. I would have probably been better off with a smaller book of more recognizable saints. Who knew there were so many saints!!!!

I think I will actually donate it to a Catholic Church ......

A good resource book. Recommended as a nice addition to a one's religious book library.

A great book and a must for every Catholic home or someone who is interested in the lives of the saints. Check out your favorite saint! The book is well constructed and full of interesting facts. I purchased two copies, one for myself and the other for my granddaughter. I was very pleased with the book, but was even more elated when my granddaughter called me and sincerely thanked me for the book. She is 14 years old.

This is the best saint book i have ever come across, and the best part about it is it has the feast days of every saint. Be careful though this thing is the size of an encyclopedia! (Maybe thats why it is called the Encyclopedia of Saints).

Of course you can find the saint of the day online, but there's nothing like holding this big volume in your hands and being able to reference all the related saints. I check it every day.
I thoroughly enjoy this book. Always referring to it. It's fun just to read through about the different saints. I've learned a lot by reading.
