This book does not replace Thomas Jentz's authoritative book on the Panther and the accompanying Panzer Tracts, but it does . The comparisons with the Sherman, T-34 and other tanks in actual combat were very eye opening.

The German Panzer V, better remembered as the Panther, is one of the most famous tanks ever built, and Mike Green has written an absorbing book which really gets into the nuts and bolts of the legendary war machine.
