This is a definitive work on warships built after World War II through 1995. No auxiliary ships are included. For details of ships built prior to 1947 (except for major conversions) you'll also need the previous volume. Fortunately, there is a list for each country of ships in existence at the start of the period. In some cases ships' fates are not updated through 1995.
