Excellent photographs and excellent research on the technical issues. The index surprised me by having sub-categories for train names, car names, and locations. That alone made mu research much easier than I had anticipated. The one weakness, and this is very minor, is the bibliography listing "employee timetables." I see this reference used too much and with little if any notation in the text.

Superb detailed analysis of the Rock Island's passenger service, which was very broad in scope covering a service area which encompassed Chicago, Twin Cities, Texas, Kansas City and even New Mexico..
