Guidelines for Evaluat. See a Problem? We’d love your help.
Technology Evaluation Guidelines.
Four different fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite column wrap systems are evaluated for durability after exposure to freeze (−15°F) and freeze–thaw conditions. Response and failure mechanisms are characterized through Naval Ordinance Laboratory-ring burst tests, short-beam-shear tests, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis and microscopy.
A variety of codes and standards exist for the structural and seismic design and assessment of petrochemical facilities. As the public becomes more aware of environmental and safety issues.

Evaluation In the evaluation process, a detailed investigation is performed on buildings with medium to high priority as a result of the screening exercise. NBCC 1995 and NRC’s Guideline for Seismic Evaluation of Existing Buildings, 1993 provide adequate guidance for the performance evaluation of existing buildings. The objective of a performance evaluation is to identify the vulnerability of the structural and non-structural systems and their components to seismic loads
The second part focuses on methods for consequence estimating by presenting sample problems. The entire book is heavily illustrated with photos, charts, tables, and diagrams, and each chapter has a full set of references for additional reading.
These guidelines apply to seismic retrofit design and construction methods for existing reinforced concrete .
These guidelines apply to seismic retrofit design and construction methods for existing reinforced concrete buildings and existing steel-encased reinforced concrete buildings that use continuous fiber-reinforced materials. A seismic retrofit method that covers independent columns and rectangular beams is employed to improve their capacity or ductility by attaching continuous, fiber-reinforced materials to their surfaces. To evaluate the structural performance of members for seismic retrofit, the fracture pattern and strengthening effectiveness of continuous fiber-reinforced materials must be thoroughly studied.
Building EQ - Guidelines for the Evaluation of Building Performance. If the actual con-sumption appears high, step 2 is introduced.
Most evaluation statements in the Guidelines for Seismic Evaluation! concern such properties. Ductility under cyclic loading is therefore an important consideration, but it is often difficult to achieve through upgrading of existing structures
Most evaluation statements in the Guidelines for Seismic Evaluation! concern such properties. Ductility under cyclic loading is therefore an important consideration, but it is often difficult to achieve through upgrading of existing structures. It can be achieved, however, by altering the structure by vaIious techniques, as described in Chapter 3. Inadequate Stiffness!
