Rizzoni provides a solid overview of the electrical engineering discipline that is especially geared toward the many non-electrical engineering students who take this course. The hallmark feature of the text is its liberal use of practical applications to illustrate important principles. The applications come from every field of engineering and feature exciting technologies such as Ohio State’s world-record setting electric car. The appeal to non-EE’s is further heightened by such special features as the book’s Focus on Measurement sections.

Rizzoni, Principles and Applications of Electrical Engineering Problem solutions, Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Instructor Notes Chapter 1 is introductory in nature, establishing some rationale for studying electrical engineering methods, even though the students' primary interest may lie in other areas. The material in this chapter should be included in every syllabus, and can typically be thoroughly covered in a single-day introductory lecture.

Giorgio Rizzoni teaches at the Ohio State University. Its a really confusing text book. I would just be confused after spending hours reading a chapter, and then I would google the topic and understand it in about 5mins on some publicly hosted site. Just don't read this text book. If you're assigned this text book, get the pdf for doing homework problems, and learn the concepts elsewhere. The text seems intentionally confusing. I really hate this text book, and I will end up with a B or possibly even a C in my Circuits class. I'm normally an A student.

I thought this book was confusing, I have used better. The books that I used in my earlier circuits classes were easier to understand.

great text book

Looks like a good book. Never actually used it as a reference in class. So I cannot really say much because the professor used his own examples and notes. I did get my money back after selling it online. So, I'm happy there.

The book came quickly and in good condition. The price was very good because it is an international edition. I didn't realize this until a couple of weeks after I received the book. It was marketed as a paperback, not an international. Something to keep in mind. The purchase process was great and I'd recommend this seller.

My book was in perfect condition and arrived in a timely fashion, plus it saved me money!
Have pity on me..... I did not read the reviews on this book before I bought it because I thought "Hey, this is the book that Duke University says that I need. I'll just order it through an Amazon reseller and save money." Point, click. Point click. Little did I know that the publisher changed to the "REVISED Fourth Edition" right before the semester started, and for good reason.
This book's errors are too numerous to have been an accident. Someone must have used a random number generator for the answers in the back of the book. An alternating logic switch must have been used on the sample problems ("For every 3rd sample problem, we'll change the sign of the leading term to keep them guessing....." or something along those lines).
I hate the fact that I had to shell out another $120 to get the REVISED Fourth Edition and that I now have this expensive doorstop sitting here, but I just cannot sell this dead tree bark to anyone and live with myself, afterwards. I hope some heads rolled at McGraw Hill for publishing this ....
Anyway, the moral of the story is: READ THE REVIEWS! WE ARE TRYING TO WARN YOU, ....!
