Although published in 1949, Microwave Antenna Theory and Design, or 'Silver' as it is commonly known, still remains today essential reading for all those engaged in the microwave antenna field and many subsequent texts have assumed the readers' familiarity with the material in Silver. Access to it has become increasingly difficult with the passage of time and so it is hoped that this reprint will find a ready market among engineers.

Although perhaps superseded by numerical methods these days, this classic still remains a sourcebook for ideas and experimentally proven design. Very clearly written.

The binding of this book is a glue-only construction of extremely low quality --- no stitching, just a stack of pages glued together. The book cannot lie open, nor close properly. Print quality is also very low. The lack of quality in construction of this book is not consistent with its price.

Makes an otherwise complex subject seem simple by the way it is presented.I found it to be an exceptionally well written text, and would encourage anyone who is interested in the subject to buy it. A great book!

This book is an excellent resource that has withstood the test of time. The book does not assume that the reader is familiar with the material and thus avoids the pitfall of glossing over important material.
