I have to somewhat disagree with the other reviewers here. Its true that looking at the first few chapters, there is really nothing new in the book that other books don't cover (actually almost every analog ic book follows the same progression, ie "this is how a pn junction works, how a transistor works, how a mosfet works, how a diff pair works, yadda, yadda"). What I found unique about this book are really the last two chapters about the common pitfalls in analog IC design and some root causes for failure of ICs. As a practising engineer, I had a hard time finding a book that discusses these things, which makes it easier for me to narrow down some of the possible causes when there is a flow in an IC design. Also, it includes an analysis of ESD circuits which I think is uncommon in most general analog IC books.

The authors have nothing new to say and they do not even present the old stuff well. Given that other excellent books already exist, why would anyone buy this one?
