This textbook was not well written. The instructor ended up using a different book to teach the class. The book was hard to follow. Even worse, I tried to sell it back to Amazon and they would not take it. I returned it in the same condition that it was sent to me. I did not write in it and hardly used it at all. When I tried to sell it back, they told me it was unacceptable. Disappointed in Amazon and the book.

Lots of good information about students with severe disabilities and some practical tips. The authors' philosophy is complete integration for all students. A wonderful idea, but I am dismayed that there is little mention of placing students according to what will work best for them. Every student has a different LRE and different needs.

I rented the book from Amazon. Mid way through the course, I knew this was a book I had to have in my resource library.

This book has been helpful for my class on assessments. It has given me good ideas on what I should do with the results from my assessments.

Very informative and detailed book. It goes through all of the steps on how to care for a student with severe disabilities (feeding, lifting, positioning, etc.) as well as collaboration with parents, paras, students, and other teachers.
This books was assigned to me as required reading for two college courses in special education. The book arrived promptly and was in perfect condition. The content of this book is broad in spectrum about topics in special education. The text is easy to read and very pratical for teachers in the field of special education.
