Dr. Montessori was a genius and she actually created the method out of pain of losing her son to adoption at age 17. It's too bad that Montessori is now for the upper class when it was meant primarily for the poor. I would love all nursery schools and primary schools to be Montessori.

I guess the trouble is that most people don't read reviews before buying books, because it's a book, and what one doesn't expect and so doesn't look for is that maybe it was published by some weird vanity press that takes public domain texts and reproduces them in book form at about a six-point-font. At least, that was the trouble for me. Too trusting. But, in my defense, it's a [redacted] BOOK. I shouldn't have to read reviews.

This is the worst formatting! The publishers should be embarrassed. Spend the money to get the real version. This has no paragraph, chapter, or section breaks. The font has to be size 8. If you need this for class or a paper - DO NOT BUY

Author brings up some excellent points to consider in educating young children. Thanks to this book, the best part is that I have begun just sitting back and observing my 13 month old child more. Children are truly amazing when we let them be. I show her how something should be done, and let her do the rest. I now step in only when she begins to mistreat an object, or to prevent her from injuring herself. She enjoys the freedom of exploring. I am grateful for Montessori's work.

Not a good buy! I was curious about the montessori method and thought this book would explain the whole in detail and instead got VERY difficult to read ramblings on the subject.

This kindle edition has mistakes in the text, such as incorrect symbols for letters, etc. I wouldn't recommend it for that reason.
