This book was definitely written by professionals who not only understand and explain the general types of research, but also the field's finer mechanisms. It's rather dry and displays the information in a very straight forward, yet formal manner. However, if this is your first time getting into research or taking a research based class, this textbook may be hard for you to read. It's written by professionals for professionals (i.e.: big and formal words of used, which can leave many beginners scratching their heads). I still would recommend it, since I received a much greater appreciation for the practice after reading this textbook.

This book was well written for the audience who doesn't love stats. Useful.
