Medical Malpractice: Law, Tactics, and Ethics. I was very disappointed with Medical Malpractice: Understanding the Law. The book was more intent on preaching about malpractice reform than on explaining steps we can take to limit the chances we get sued for medical malpractice. I must say that I found another book-entitled PHYSICIAN, PROTECT THYSELF-a much better reference regarding the prevention of malpracice lawsuits. If you need to know about malpractice either as a defendants attorney, the prosecuting attorney, a physician, a business person who employs physicians, or just someone who has been touched in someway by malpractice, then this is the book for you Its thoroughly explains the process, the ups, downs, risks, and strategies that might be deployed to defend or to win a case. Its not a difficult book, nor is it boring full of legal case analysis. it tells stories and lays out different scenarios. I enjoyed it and it helped me in my own situation.
