EXCELLENT REVIEW

This book is assigned as a student textbook and it shouldn't be. Students and professionals have much better resources to turn to today.

Full of facts and terms and not for everyone, but for those who want to know more about anatomy and functions of the body as a whole, the student who wants to learn, a keeper.

For a book of this size the detail is impressive. What floors me though, is its clinical relevance; with the chapters prepared as an ideal prelude to discussions on pathology and modalities of treatment.

This textbook is a very detailed writing with some explanation of basic physiology. It is a difficult read for a beginning text and needs to be backed up with supplemental information if you are learning from this text as a first line of education. I feel it is a very good review of physiology already understood with an in depth explanation into more detailed physiology.

Short and to the point! I found this book way easier to get through than almost any text on medical physiology.
