Ashlag reputedly studied Kabbalah from the age of seven, hiding pages from the book Etz Chaim "The Tree of Life" by Isaac Luria in the Talmudic tractate he was meant to be studying. At the age of twelve, he studied the Talmud independently. By nineteen, Ashlag’s knowledge of the Torah was profound enough for the rabbis of Warsaw to confer upon him the title of rabbi. During this period he worked as a judge in the court of the Warsaw rabbis and also gained experience as a teacher for training judges for Jewish courts. Rav Ashlag's closest student Rav Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein later finished the work by adding this three volumes called Tikkunei HaZohar "Maalot Hasulam".

If you're interested in studying Kabbalah, this is a great resource. Original writings of established Kabbalists.

I ordered this for a coworker. He said he really enjoyed it. I'd recommend it based purely on his enthusiasm.

Its a great collection of essential articles for study, all in one book, with a great price too.

I've always been curious about the Kabbalah and have read periferrally about it for years. I decided to really understand it, at least from the Judaic perspective. My first impression is that this is as good as any other text on the subject as I can be found. Thoughtful, well-researched, and comprehensive presentation of Judaic Kabbalistic beliefs.

But if you're really interested in the Kabbalah, IMHO you should dig deeper, as it is a belief system that far predates monotheistic Judaism and Christianity.

This huge tome includes all of modern Kabbalistic thought. It still doesn't replace a rebbe, but it is said that just reading, even without understanding, one gets pulled into the upper worlds of understanding God and creation.

I have no way neared reading this entire book. I treat it like my Bible or Tanakh and often just open it and read what I land on. There are pages of Kabbalah graphs and descriptions and also a dictionary of terms at the back which are very helpful in one's studies. It is clear and easy to understand.
for my phone so I always have access!
