I am so pleased with this book. The author includes details about the dyes used in specific time periods, and great color photos with the history of textiles from the 1840's to present. The original advertising for Springs industries and Westpoint Stevens, are an added bonus.
Very well written, I'm learning more about my own collection. I'm developing an "eye" for the various time periods.

I recently became a collector of tablecloths, not on purpose, just ran across a couple of cute ones, and then I was hooked. I just love the photos in this book and the identification information. I use most of my tablecloths and enjoy them everyday.

This is a great book. I am learning quite a bit about vintage tablecloths as I read it. I also enjoy the photos. They show the entire cloth.

My favorite go to author for vintage tablecloths. I like reading the history behind the dyes and manufacturers. Still learning from her.

The book is absollute first quality!

The photography is great!
Information about each spread on the same page of photo would be helpful!

The very brief history about "Hand Tufting" bedspreads, was simply that. Disappointing to an official "Chenille Bedspread Family Tufting Decendant."

Early 1900's history would have made for a great read and a deeper appreciation of the WOMEN who started this awesome industry during the Great Depression, as a 'Cottage industry.'

Come visit the North Georgia "Peacock Alley" and get some official information instead of simply Mr. Tom Deatons book.

I am glad to have it in my collection, even though it is not comprehensive.
I LOVED this book, it's beautiful, well researched and great reference book for dating your collection. A must have for all collectors....
