Loved hiding veggies into my picky grandchildren's food. There diet is terrible and so I don't care if others think it is dishonest or not as sometimes you don't tell kids everything. There brains are not mature enough to make good choices, that is what parents are for! I could be wrong but giving to many choices to a child to early causes some of this chronic picky eating today. I did find making the puree's to be a little time consuming but I just sent and after noon doing it and put it all in the freezer. Also, I look for baby food on sale and stock up on the ones that would work in the meals.

This book is great. since getting this, I also bought all the other Sneaky Chef books. she has great ideas for make-ahead purees which you can easily incorporate into nearly any meal to add more fruit, veggies, whole grain, fiber, and/or protein. I never would have thought to add veggies to french toast egg batter, for example, but it was completely undetectable!

I am obsessed with these books. I thought I wouldn't stick with pureeing because it'd be too much of a pain but I just spend a day making large batches of the ones I use the most and then freeze them. I have all of Missy's books and I think this is my favorite and the one I use most. It has great tips for allergy free foods and has recipes that my family loves

This book is okay.. not as good as the first book. But I like having more recipes to use.

I do love these books and Missy's very kid friendly regular people foods that she teaches us to prepare in healthier ways. I am eating a lot of these foods myself and feeling better about my nutrition. Plus, I have taken other recipes that I use and adjusted them to be sneaky! I think that food tastes better when it has good things in it. I am very grateful for these Sneaky Chef books!

I have two children as opposite as can be in their food likes. My daughter will eat anything, and my son is incredibly, incredibly picky. He is underweight, and I am always trying to find nutritious food that he will eat. Not only are the recipes I've tried so far been delicious, he I feel like is is getting actual whole food finally.
I made the "Icy Hot Chocolate" - had to made a second batch because he wanted more. The "Peanut Butter Blondies" were a hit with both kids (sweet potatoes, carrots, and all), even if they turned out more like cookie bars than blondies. I had to do a switcheroo when I went to make the Treasure Stuffed Shells because my grocery store didn't have shells. I used manicotti instead and they were so yummy. The neighbor kids I fed asked me to give the recipe to their mother!
So, in three days, my kids have eaten carrots, sweet potatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, wheat germ, oat bran....I am so amazed and thankful. The recipes are so delicious that my son actually WANTS to eat.

This book has some great ideas! Most of these tips and tricks are really helpful but some of them will add extra weight along with extra vegetables, such as cooking items in milk instead of water. I want to add nutrition but not extra calories. The concept behind these books is good. Even more wonderful, they taste great!

I can't praise these books enough. They're fantastic.
I checked this book out of our local library 3 times and then realized I just needed to own it. I am happy with the book overall - have found several tasty recipes that my family likes. The purees used in most recipes do take some prep time in advance, but after you have all your purees in the freezer, most recipes are pretty quick. I especially like the recipes for Quick Fixes (for store-bought brownie mix, pancake mix, etc.). These take very little time and add some healthy stuff to food the kids like. Worth having in your cookbook library if you have picky eaters in your family.
