This is the most complete, and entertaining to read, cookbook I have ever bought. I have about 50. Color plates are wonderful. Extensive extra sections such as the wonderful one on the wines of France, complete with beautiful color plates, dining etiquette, theory of cooking, appropriate dress, etc. Admittedly much of this info and recipes are old-school, and classically French, but that's just what I was looking for. A true joy just to read through.

The vendor is excellent too; quick shipment and reliable description of a used book.
