Each recipe is on its own page with a photo on the facing page, this book is the perfect size that invites you to go page by page, deciding if you want to try the recipe. I plan to make at least half the recipes in this book, going from cover to cover, and the trip through the book will be a fun one. The book is well bound and stays open on your recipe page. I sense a lot of care went into selecting a rich variety of recipes that you will want to have in your repertoire. A few will require a bit of practice to get to the quick-to-the-table experience but that makes the book worth the purchase.

I loved the large green Gourmet magazine cookbook that came out a few years ago. Everything in it turned out fabulous. However, I found myself picking through it looking for the shorter, simpler recipes. This cookbook brings all those together so I don't have to pick through/sort anymore!

For me this was only an "ok" find. I read it through and maybe earmarked 2 or 3 recipes or ideas I would try or use and then I promptly gave it to my library for a book sale. Someone else might find it wonderful!

I just got this book, and I am very pleased with it. The recipes are simple and easy, although they will certainly impress guests. It obviously uses ingredients I am less likely to just have around the kitchen, but for someone like me who wants to entertain more, but has pragmatic concerns like a job and kids, this is an excellent resource. I'm going to bring a goat cheese and olive appetizer that I found in this book to a function tomorrow. It looks impressive, but will take hardly any time to make. It feels a little like a "life hack" to have this book, almost like cheating.

I love that this book has a picture for every recipe. If you are making something you've never tried before, it really helps to know what it's supposed to look like. I've made 3 different things so far and they've all been amazing.
