Good read just disappointed it was not the whole collection of essays about food, eating etc. It was just the one. It wasn’t clear upon purchase. Would appreciate a view of table of contents and number of pages in descriptions!

Read this book in college and remembered it with fondness. Decided to read it again. Never forgot the names and title "Lamb" and "Roast Pig" what and incongruous pairing. But a delightful story that will stick to your ribs forever!

This was intended for a Christmas gift. The recipient wasn't too thrilled. The entire series published by Penguin Books is really quite clever. They took works by famous individuals, some from the culinary world and reproduced them. I thought it was interesting to read about life in other times. Kudos to Penguin for doing this, anyway!
