I've been using this book for over 10 years and over that period over a dozen new ones have joined it but none have displaced it. We use it every week as a source of healthy easy yummy dishes. When my kids were younger and pickier, this book had their favorites - also our favorites. It never fails to amaze me what Jay does with a minus of ingredients and time. There aren't any bad recipes in here and there are a few stand-outs that are as good as anything published. If you want good food with low effort, this is your book. I tend to be the high effort sort and I still love this book. Just buy it. Really.

This is the perfect cookbook for anyone who has limited time to cook and wants to cut back on the meat in their diet. The recipes have enough ingredients to be interesting--most taste really good--but are simple enough to make in a short time from start to finish. The cooking time for almost all the recipes is just a few minutes, so they are perfect for weekday evenings. For those who still want meat, these dishes make great, filling, and nutritious side dishes. With only two people, we always have enough leftovers for another meal.

This book kicks some major fanny. I'm not a true vegan, but I try to eat vegan as much as I can. This book has been a tremendous help. The recipes are straightforward, simple, and help get the creativity in the kitchen going. This was my first vegan cookbook, and may turn out to be my only vegan cookbook. If you're vegan, you won't be disappointed.

This is a wonderful book. Every recipe I have tried has been very tasty. My mom borrowed it and then bought it for herself after I asked for it back. The recipes are very easy and don't call for a lot of exotic ingredients. This was worth every penny.

When I discovered I was allergic to 13 things, gluten and dairy among them, I thought the world was going to end! With the help of this book, I was able to find new recipes to integrate into daily life. I especially liked that they were fast and easy to make. I recommend the Black Bean Dip!

Every recipe tried so far is a winner, this calls for an excellent rating in my book. I have only served up about 5 main dish recipes and all are keepers.
