Legend 33
First, spoiler alert - This story will never be finished, one of the authors died. Still, I owned all but this one, and the humor and beautiful artwork made me want all of the volumes available. I feel it is well worth reading what was finished, but it makes me very sad that there will never be a conclusion to a wonderful story.

Soma, a brash, loudmouthed young warrior, or adventurer, or something, is accused of stealing the Blade of Heaven -- and in fact likely has, though we don't learn any more about that in the first volume -- but ends up being sent on a mission to recover it by the King of Heaven, along with the King's daughter, who wants to see the mortal realm, and one of the King's generals. Another review says this series didn't run very long because one of the creators died, which is too bad, but I wouldn't have been following it if it had continued. Soma is such a motormouth trash-talker it's a bit surprising to eventually discover he actually does have some martial arts skill. All the 'good guys' -- Soma, Princess Aroomee, General Winter, Fat Ninja -- are kind of clownish, while the demons and bad guys (with one exception) play it straight. And I always seem to run into difficulty with some of the names in Korean manga; at the book's end there's a long battle against a really scary, malevolent demon called ... GooGoo??!
