I got it for me 102 year old Dad and found the cover in poor taste, so I didn't give it to him. Garrison Keillers book is much funnier.

Kinda' cute. Lots of great cartoons (mixed in with a lot of mediocre). Worth getting. Thanks, Dave (in Colorado)

... for the Western taste (West of the Atlantic, that is). This book contains mostly cartoons published in Punch, and other British tabloids, with predominantly puns and cliche sight-gags, many of which the subject is very dated. If you're looking for New Yorker quality humor, you won't find it here. It's Benny Hill humor, not the Ziegler, Booth, or even Larson, et al. I was also somewhat disappointed that the "Mammoth" part of the title did not indicate the page/drawing size. This book is like a super fat paperback off the rack (think War and Peace in paperback), though I probably would have seen that if I had researched the book size. I did not crack a smile while paging through the entire volume. You may like corny British humor, but it is not my cup of tea. Just a note of forewarning for those expecting a smart, and less slap-stick, brand of cartoon wit.
