A small, decent re-write of Mere Christianity.

This is my second copy. I loaned the first one out never to see it again.I am reading it for the second time and just as good second time around.

This book was given to me by a Police Department Chaplain many years ago and it lay unread for some time. I remember seeing the cover and reading the title and thinking to myself how strange a title for a book being handed to me by such a person.

I have only recently read the book and I'm glad I did. Bill's scientific approach was refreshing. His approach - to prove his own position as a religious skeptic to be right, he needed to prove himself wrong. To me this is the crux of testing something using the scientific method. My opinion is that this is not done often enough in many areas of life, a characteristic not just typical of many religious skeptics.

Some of the points he throws up for consideration can not be brushed aside. I've considered myself a Christian since I was very young and this book made me wake up and 'smell the roses'.

I have since bought a few copies of the book and given them to people, Christian and Non-Christian alike in the hope that the book may confront them as much as it did me.

I thoroughly recommend reading this book. Regardless of what you believe it'll make you decide on what to decide.

I valued this book for it's logic and clear thinking. The author did not 'preach' but set out facts and respected the reader. If God allows us to choose then I expect people to allow me too as well. Thanks Bill Medley, I made my choice!

The Rollers of Vildar
Medley is obviously a clear thinker, a gifted writer and a keen wit.

Rita, who this book was originally addressed to, is now a believer. By God's grace she took what she read to its logical outcome, which is faith in Christ and obedience to him.

Religion Is For Fools also provides a lot of laughs, with plenty of thoughtful gags in the sub-headings.

The appendices begin two-thirds of the way through the book. Be sure to read them, as they, like the body of the book, contain sound arguments for the Christian faith.

Highly recommended, 5 stars without hesitation.
