I learned more about the incredible challenges in raising daughters. I made many mistakes that only God can heal and restore in the lives of my children.

I learned more about the incredible challenges in raising daughters. I did not realize the impact my own mother had on me in the way I reacted or overreacted in the raising of my daughters. I was a Christian but I also tell others I was a broken child raising children. This book would be extremely helpful for any woman who has not healed or been restored in her broken places in relationship to her mother.

Some relationships between mothers and daughters are dramatic productions. My mother frustrated me too, in different ways, but I didn’t want to talk to her that much either. Simple communication is just not enough to satisfy this toxic mother. She must make every mistake seem like the end of the world. One of the most hurtful relationships between mother and daughter is the neglectful type. This sort of relationship leaves the daughter feeling as if she doesn’t exist. Even if she says things that drive you crazy, please try to tolerate her and show her that you love her. She is just so afraid of losing you and wishes she had a good connection with you.

An intimate relationship is an interpersonal relationship that involves physical or emotional intimacy. Although an intimate relationship is commonly a sexual relationship, it may also be a non-sexual relationship involving family, friends, or acquaintances. Emotional intimacy involves feelings of liking or loving one or more people, and may result in physical intimacy. Physical intimacy is characterized by romantic love, sexual activity, or other passionate attachment.

Intimate relationships exist in social domains, in which there are cultural rules regarding appropriate behaviors. This book presents a cross-cultural extension of the findings originating from the classic Boston Couples Study. But they also inhabit psychological domains of thoughts, feelings, and desires. Amassing a wealth of new data from almost 9,000 participants worldwide, Hill explores the factors that predict having a current partner, relationship satisfaction, and relationship commitment.
