Noted author and retired Old Testament professor has written an excellent commentary for both clergy and laity. Recommended highly.

I am using this commentary in my preparation for leading a weekly class of older adult laity in a retirement community. I have found Dr. Towner's discussions very helpful in our chapter by chapter discussions. The text is clear and sufficiently detailed, but not too academic for our purposes.
