This Bible was one that a minister at church used, and I find it puts scripture in an everyday language that all can understand. I use this is conjunction with the NIV and KJV when doing Bible Study

I have enjoyed reading this immensely. The verbiage used makes it much easier to understand some of the more "dense" passages that are sometimes difficult to deeply understand.

Have not read all of it, but what I have read has been good. This is a version every serious student of the scriptures should have.
JUST DO IT
This is a very easing reading Bible in today's words. If you are trying to read the Bible and finding it difficult then this is the version that I would recommend.

Love it. I bought The Message to have on hand to give to anyone I meet new to the Word.
It is easy to read and inline with The Living and NIV etc.

I bought "The Message" (MSG) after having read the New International Version (NIV) 1984 Bible in 90 Days in a course with my Church. Though I still have the NIV and could read it again, I prefer reading the MSG. The MSG is a paraphrase translation, communicating the spirit of the paragraphs. The author has translated it for Americans to hear. Details are presented in a meaningful way.
This is a book written by the late Pastor Eugene H. Peterson who was a reverend in a church for 30 years and a secular professor of Hebrew and Greek in his earlier career. He wrote it to be spoken and cogitated.
Peoples who read this book will appreciate the palpability of the original speakers' intents. Get this book.
I love the book but didn't investigate enough. Very tiny print
