100 Bible Stories 100 Bible Songs, written by Stephen Elkins and illustrated by Tim O'Conner is a delightful children's book that I would recommend for children 4 and under. There are 2 cds that accompany the book and there is a song that matches each story. I have played the cds to the boys and once we have learned them all I can see us singing the matching song when we read the story, but I do not ever see myself going through the effort of playing the one song from the cd when we read the story. I'm just being honest folks!

I love the devotions each day- the songs are pretty old school. My kids are 6 and stills joy them, but I wish they were more current or like the hymns- the versions are just different. Regardless, my kids are really enjoying it! It's simple and brings in Bible stories and a verse. We're really enjoying it.

I would highly recommend this devotional. The CD's are fantastic. The book is great for little ones, I would recommend for 5 and up, for daily readings. It's awesome to read from the daily devotional and then be able to play a song that reinforces the daily reading. I would recommend the CD's for ages baby and up.

I have a 6 and a 5 year old and I needed something to help me teach them about how important it is to have a personal relationship with Jesus. This book has help me find ways to teach and ask my boys questions about what they know and how they feel about Jesus. This helps me see how much they understand and what else I need to do the help them strengthen their growing relationship with God.

Short, simple & colorful devotions with scripture to back it up and a song to go along with it. A great way to introduce worship and Bible study as a joint activity.

The devotions book is very useful, we read it every night. I think this book will help children grow closer to God
"I Wanna Throw Up (my hands in praise to the Lord)" is an example of a song that is on the CDs which come with this book. (Note: The CDs do not have the stories on them.) The book is padded and has an easily washable cover. The pages are fairly thick. So, it would be easier for small hands to turn the pages.

Each of the 100 stories are illustrated, have a key verse, a short prayer, and a song that goes with that lesson. The short stories have stories from the Bible or the author's childhood. All the stories intertwine Biblical principles in them with application for today. One story teaches when to dial 911 (for those who live in areas that use that service.)

The songs are clearly marked on the devotional page. So, you will know which CD and which song number goes with that story. Some of the songs are classic songs such as "Now the Day is Over," others are newer upbeat songs such as the one that goes with the title of this review. The songs have children's voices singing with some adults. The CDs are over an hour long each. The book includes a link to a Web site that has the lyrics of the songs.

Two things to note: 1) One of the songs about Noah's ark seemed to be more interested in teaching counting than staying with the Biblical account of the story. 2) Except for the cover of the book, most of the illustrations are of Caucasians. One ironic example is the devotion that includes the song, "Jesus Loves All the Children of the World."

This book would be great for a short devotional bedtime story with parental involvement for young children or for long car rides for children who are old enough to read on their own.
