Dr Brenda Niall AO (born 25 November 1930) is an Australian biographer, literary critic and journalist. Brenda Niall assisted by Frances O'Neill, Australia through the looking-glass: children's fiction 1830-1980 (Carlton, Vi. Melbourne University Press, 1984). She is particularly noted for her work on Australia's well-known Boyd family of artists and writers  .
