Colin Howard is a senior lecturer in primary science within ITE at the University of Worcester. This book has been written in response to recent government changes to the primary curriculum. He has been involved in primary education for over 24 years, 14 of which have been as a successful head teacher in both small village and large primary school settings. It has been created to help the successful delivery of primary science and to provide creative, inspiring and practical examples to promote the delivery of science in the primary classroom.
This paper will discuss in detail the development of the national technology education policy and the way in which the curriculum was developed.
