Well, actually, it’s the same trick over and over: The worm disguises himself as a hair ribbon. The worm disguises himself as a drinking straw. The second story in the book is just as repetitive. Yuck plays one prank after another and blames Polly and her friend Lucy each time. Middle-grade boys won’t object. They may see each prank as a battle in an ongoing war.

First let me preface that my son HATES reading and wants nothing to do with books. I tried finding books that appeal to his love of sports, but to no avail, he refused to read them. I knew that he loved anything gross. I across one of Matt and Dave's books in the library and brought it home. He couldn't get enough. He refused to go to sleep that night until he finished the book.
