My 10 year old doesn't find this book or exercises in the book helpful for reducing anxiety. I think it would be ok for younger kids 5-8 years old or so. Didn't help us. Listening to relaxing bedtime meditations much better.

There are some great activities. It is geared for families but I am using a couple of activities in therapy sessions. I think I was hoping for more strategies relating to anxiety rather than stress but that was my own expectation. It is a worthwhile book.

6 months later and our 9 year old is still using many of the techniques taught in this book. Her younger sister even does some of them.

I use this in therapy with some of my children who need coping skills for anxiety. There are some good activities, like the guided imagery and the yoga postures that kids find are fun, but some of the worksheets are sometimes not the best to use on the fly. I find the best age range to use this with are kids from 6-10 y/o.

I look forward to using the exercises in this book. It covers many areas that affect and help the stress that kids feel.

I love that there are several different exercises and all are geared for children and adolescents. I believe some are great for using with kids with general emotion regulation problems. Definitely recommend.
