He creates each Wemmick in Wemmicksville uniquely, each with its own look and personality. Each story and video is a new adventure with the citizens of Wemmicksville. Punchinello is the central character, along with his friends Lucia, Splint, and Chip. When Punchinello strays from Eli, he begins to have problems. Only when Punchinello stays close to Eli does he clearly see how to walk through his life in Wemmicksville.

In this delightful book, Punchinello learns how important it is to be who we were created to be, no matter how much we want to fit in. Readers learn that we are each made unique for a reason and that the Creator will always help us be who we were created to be.

Please I urge you to purchase this book. It is VERY well made ..sturdy cover.. It will last for a lifetime of beautiful story telling ! The concept will never grow old.. DON"T WORRY ABOUT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DO OR SAY !!! Worry about yourself.. Don't concern yourself about trying to be like everyone else. How can you go wrong teaching children this lesson??? Peer pressure is a horrible thing... If this book is able to plant a tiny seed in the back of their minds and they can just put into practice at some point in their lifetime .. I am going to be myself .. and be comfortable knowing other people have experienced the stigma of worrying about being like everyone else... it will be worth every penny you invested in purchasing it.

Some books you just want to read over and over again. This is one of those books. It's another wonderful story about the wood carved people known as the Wemmick's. Punchinello is tempted by the peer pressure of his fellow Wemmick's so that he will fit in. Even though Eli, the woodcarver, gently reminds him that there is no importance in looks and the thing that actually makes us special is our own uniqueness. Eli made them each unique and special. The message to the reader then is that we should see our own selves in the same light and not worry about what others think of us.

JUST LOVE THE WEMMICKS BOOKS.I JUST GOT WISH I HAD A GREEN NOSE SO CUTE SWEET AND A GREAT MESSAGE TO BE YOURSELF. GOD LOVES US JUST AS WE ARE ITS FINE TO BE DIFFERENT ONCE IN A WHILE BUT, ALWAYS REMENBER TO BE YOUR SELF MOST OF THE TIME AND YOU WILL BE HAPPY.I LIKE MY NOSE JUST AS IT IS. NO GREEN FOR ME I JUST ORDERED ANOTHER WEMMIC KS BOOKS LOOKING FORWARD TO READING IT. THESE KOOK ARE WONDERFUL. I JUST LOVE THEM.

I read these books to my kids all the time. They are so well written. After we read the book, we always talk about the lesson we take from it.
In our world, we have to teach our kids what matters. We have to teach them that there is a real purpose to their lives and they do not need to be seeking the approval of the world but rather the approval of God.
For families that do not believe in God, I genuinely believe that this book still has relevance and value for their children. The world is so hard on our kids no matter our beliefs and we have to teach them that there is so much more to life.

I love Max Lucado's Wemmicks stories! This one has an awesome lesson! Basically all the wemmicks are painting their noses different colors to keep up with the fad of what is "cool". In the end, Punchinello (the main character) talks to Eli, the woodcarver (supposed to resemble God), and realizes that he was made special in Eli's image and that fads aren't what makes him great. I couldn't recommend the Wemmick's series enough! The story is a great length, too. Not too long but definitely my go-to book when I want to read my daughter to sleep. She's almost always asleep by the time we finish the story (she's 2).
