Abby Klein (Author), John Mckinley (Illustrator). Book 12 of 25 in the Ready, Freddy! Series.

Abby Klein was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has been a kindergarten and first-grade teacher for more than twenty years. She and her husband, two children, and four dogs live in Williston, Vermont. John McKinley has been drawing all his life. He is the celebrated illustrator of the Ready, Freddy! series. He and his family live in Northern California.

Shark Tooth Tale book. McKinley has a flair and style that is a cut above the norm. Freddy really wanted a megalodon shark tooth but he didn't have enough money. So he earned it. It got stolen at school. I loved his characters and they certainly enhanced the story. I would want to try another before fully recommending the series but at book it is probably representational of the others.
