This is a sweet story. Well written, simple and warm. It gets kids excited to read and go to the library at a young age. This book also shows a beautiful closeness of the mother and her daughter while exploring life outside of home for the day.

Both my young daughter & my son, ages 2 and 4 years old love it. It shows diverse groups of kids all throughout.

I am very glad to own this book in our own family library.
we borrowed this from the library for my own kid. i bought it recently for a friend's baby shower. it is a lovely book. Lola imagines life in Lagos! What other children's book has a child imagining life in Lagos?! Well done, McQuinn. The whole series is wonderful.
Great story for curious toddlers. This kept my young child’s attention because it was colorful, discussed a routine, and it was s quick read.
We love Lola! This book has a lovely story with beautiful pictures. My toddler likes to point out and discuss what everyone is doing in each picture (librarian, mommy, Lola, etc.).
The book was great. I bought it for my 5 year old granddaughter who is developmentally delayed and she enjoyed the book. I didn't know that Lola was not yet in elementary school!
Cute little book with very nice illustrations. Our favorite part? When the baby gets her snack and the mama gets a cappuccino. How many baby books have that as a vocabulary word? But seriously, great book for babies who like to read!
My 2 yr old son likes this one and will sit still for it. Illustrations and words are cute. I like the sweet relationship she has with her mother and the ritual they share.
The Lola series is perfect for little girls all colors. It did make my cousin happy to see a little girl in a book that looked like her though. The illustrations and story are cute.
