The Spanish A1 Graded Reader Collection was the first book that Ana released. She is currently working on her A2 and B1 series of Spanish graded readers. Ana uses the CEFR framework to grade her books rather than just using the common beginner, intermediate and advanced grading. Check out all of Ana’s Spanish graded readers here.

This new series uses a simple approach to help kids master the basics of the Spanish language including sentence structure, vocabulary, pronunciation, and verbs. Common items such as food, time, greetings, and places introduce students tobeginning sentence structure. Each 80-page book is packed with activities that will teach sight reading and translation skills. Activities include picture labeling, writing practice, matching exercises, and fill-in-the-blanks. These books provide different levels to accommodate every elementary student.

This 57 y/o retired Registered Nurse found it to be, so far, the best Spanish basic language text of the five I've purchased. It is much like Visual Link without the audio. The line drawings of the various objects named are good illustrations and the pronunciation keys are spot-on. I believe they are as close as you can get absent a native speaker's voice on CD. By learning twenty new nouns a day and then revisiting those the next day before starting on the next twenty, I was able to learn 230 "new-to-me" nouns and their genders in about two weeks. Also, I found it to be very helpful to do each exercise where you are told to read the word and then to say it aloud as you write it.

Mind you, this is mostly good for gaining new vocabulary. Since I knew nothing, it was all new to me. Other courses such as Visual Link, Learn To Speak Spanish, etc. will be of greater value in forming sentences in speaking and writing and the bane of me and many others, understanding what is being said by others.

For rapid vocabulary improvement at the elementary level, I highly recommend this book. On to Level 2.

Great for beginners. I bought this for myself and have learned so much from it. Kid friendly too.
Fenrikree
Exactly what I thought this would be. Using it as an easy introduction to spanish words for a 3rd grader.
Мох
Great simple book to teach our son Spanish. Glad we got it
Saberdragon
It's ok for the first year in Spanish for little kids like kindergarten and first graders. It contains common Spanish contents (house, kitchen, shapes, family, etc)

I love this book!
Blackseeker
Very limited vocabulary. I would not recommend this.
This book teaches you the words but there is not a lot of opportunity to practice the words.
