The tale of peter rabbit. ONCE upon a time there were four little Rabbits, and their names were-. Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail, and Peter. I have been a fan of the first two Peter Rabbit stories and of Beatrix Potter for close to 80 years. Unbelievably, I had never heard of the other two adventures in this book: The Flopsy Bunnies and Mr. Fox. The books themselves (I ordered 3) are in nearly perfect condition, and the stories were delightful. I now know I have Peter's complete history in Miss Potter's world, and some closure on Peter's family. I taught public school kindergarten for 28 years before my retirement, so I had a great love for classic childrens' storybooks. I still have many opportunities to read to children, and Peter Rabbit stories are some of the best.

WE do some educational playdates from times to time to supplement our homeschooling program and this book was a good addition to our review about England

There are three stories in this book, the first of which is the Tale of Peter Rabbit. I think that this edition could be better organized, given its intended audience: First of all, you need to be able to read the table of contents to know where one story ends and the next begins. Also, the binding is very tight, making it difficult for the "baby-preschool" age group for which it is intended to flip through at the book independently. In my copy, at least, about half the story of Peter Rabbit is included a second time, presumably in error, after the third story. A small child might do better with a smaller, hardbound version.
