De Colores Y Cosas book. But the photographs by Tana Hoban are all carefully selected to engage children, and are presented four per page highlighting a certain color.

De Colores Y Cosas book. Crisp photos of familiar items offer a unique puzzle/adventure. I use this book in my K-8 Spanish classroom because it is a great way for children to engage with Spanish vocabulary (los colores/the colors) tied to real world imagery. Art teachers could surely benefit from the book if they were to use it in teaching composition or color theory. At first glance, this is a fairly bizarre book in that it contains no text.

Chamberlain expertly blends the time-travel elements with the wonderful story of a mother’s love and the depths of sacrifice she makes for her child. This is a page-turning crowd-pleaser.

El dia es como el arco iris, lleno de colores pintados, como un cielo llenos de estrellas, como dos corazones enamorados".
