Hyenas live in Africa. Hyenas tend to pack, as do wolves, and jackals. Coyotes do sometimes form packs, but they are usually fairly small. While hyenas seem somewhat similar to these other creatures, they come from the same family as cats (Feliformia), while the others in this list belong to the dog family (canidae). 2. k views · View 16 Upvoters. They will actively pursue the player if they spot them, and attack them once they achieve their preferred attack position. Each type of predator has different attack strategies against the player. For example, Hyenas and Black-Backed Jackals tend to surround the player as they tend to travel in groups, and while they are surrounding the player they lower the player's dopamine levels. Contrast to all varieties Machairodus, which attempt to ambush the player by approaching from behind or through dense vegetation, but if the player spots them they will charge outright.
Jackals are carnivorous mammals and jackals will often scavenge the remains of kills made by other larger predators. The jackal is a nocturnal mammal that can easily maintain speeds of 16km an hour for long periods of time. Although the jackal belongs to a jackal pack, jackals often prefer to hunt alone or with only one other jackal.
FEEEED MEEEE The jackal is a small omnivorous mammal of the genus Canis, which also includes the wolf and dog. While the word "jackal" has historically been used for many small canids, in modern use it most commonly refers to three species: the closely related black-backed jackal and side-striped jackal of sub-Saharan Africa, and the golden jackal of south-central Eurasia. Jackals and coyotes (sometimes called the "American jackal") are opportunistic omnivores.
